Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club



The Ipswich Greyhound Race Club conducts greyhound racing Tuesday twilight, Friday twilight and Saturday nights.
The Club provides excellent kiosk, bar and function facilities for the enjoyment of on-course patrons. The track has a loam surface with a cable lure system in operation.
The track is located at the Ipswich Show Grounds, 81 Warwick Road Ipswich Qld 4305
Distances - 288m, 431m, 520m, 630m & 732m
There is a veterinary service available at race meetings. The kennel block is air conditioned and the kennels are single tier.

Under the requirements of the Liquor and Registered Clubs' Act, this Club is committed to a duty of care and responsible practice in the safe supply and service of liquor to patrons whilst on these premises. It is an offence to sell liquor to, or permit a person to become intoxicated whilst on these premises. Patrons who appear intoxicated will be refused service and may be escorted from this racecourse.
Races are shown on Sky Racing and there are video replays of all races and DVD's/Videos are available for purchase.
Dress Codes apply for participants engaged in greyhound racing at the race meetings.
TRAINERS/HANDLERS
CLOTHING:
Males: White collared business OR polo shirt, with a Greyhound club or racing logo on left chest.
Dark (navy blue or black) panel / stripes on side of polo shirts is permitted
Shirts must be tucked in prior to leaving kennels.
Black trouser / business pants with black belt (Belt is optional)
(No singlets, shorts, cargo pants, jeans or tracksuit pants)
Females: White collared business OR polo shirt, with a Greyhound club or racing logo on left chest.
Dark (navy blue or black) panel / stripes on side of polo shirts is permitted
Shirts must be tucked in prior to leaving kennels.
Black trouser / business pants with black belt (Belt is optional)
OR Black Skirt, minimum knee length
(No singlets, shorts, cargo pants, jeans, leggings or tracksuit pants)
FOOTWEAR:
Males: Black enclosed shoes - Waterproof with rubber soles with black socks
(No thongs, joggers or sandals)
Females: Black enclosed shoes - Waterproof with rubber soles with black socks
(High heel shoes not permitted, no thongs, joggers or sandals)
HEADWEAR:
Black or White hat or caps (Optional)
Hats must have a brim and worn with the peak to the front (i.e. Baseball caps). Akubra style
hats permitted
No beanies or bucket hats
FEAURE RACE DAYS
Queensland Greyhound Racing Clubs may ask Greyhound Racing License holders to wear special feature race
day attire from time to time. I.e. Black suit vests, bow tie etc…
PLEASE NOTE
The above dress code policy DOES NOT apply to Catchers, with the exception of:
CATCHERS DRESS CODE:
- Catchers must present themselves in a neat and professional manner.
- Shirts must be tucked in.
- The following are not permitted: Shorts, tracksuit pants, singlets, high heels, thongs or sandals.
