Online Community Engagement for the GBGC project
Racing Queensland has lodged its proposal to create GBGC, a state-of-the-art canine centre that puts animal care at the heart of its operations and design. To be located at Purga, near Ipswich, GBGC will become the new home of greyhound racing in South East Queensland, with the merged Brisbane and Ipswich racing clubs co-locating to the new venue. Designed as a place that the entire community can use and enjoy, Racing Queensland is asking Queenslanders to provide feedback on this proposal.

URGENT NOTICE TO ALL GREYHOUND TRAINERS
The last few months has seen an increase in the number of trainers allowing their greyhounds to empty out in areas belonging to the showgrounds & other tenants.
As the showgrounds are a shared complex with the Greyhounds & different parts of the Ipswich community, we again ask that all greyhounds are emptied on the allocated grassed area adjacent to the Parker St entrance & NOT on the bitumen areas or the open area at below the 288M Boxes.
Greyhound vehicles are not permitted to park near the Sports Halls. The Show Society use the area below the 288M Boxes on Market Days & we regularly receive complaints about Dog faeces in the area. This is a simple request so please show some respect to others using the Complex.
We will be monitoring this. Our Security Cameras will be used if required.
